Entry for our annual Tour of Strangford Sportive is now open – Tour of Strangford 2024 – Buy Tickets (eventmaster.ie). There are the usual 50 and 80 mile routes, with a lunch stop in Portaferry, and we’re raising money for the Air Ambulance of Northern Ireland. There’s a brief report from last year’s event here.
Conditions were warm and bright for tonight’s Scrabo Hill Climb, with a slight tail wind on the final haul to the finish. Stuart Millar was a clear winner with 5:02, but the next three places were covered by just 5 seconds. A combination of holidays, work commitments and blustery conditions meant only 6 riders faced the timekeeper this evening for the final 5 mile circuit time trial of the season.
