There is a series of articles outlining the basic principles of training – having a goal, drawing up a plan, training in cycles and making it progressive, and some detailed sessions to prepare for the road racing season. There are also some thoughts on psychology and answers to some frequently asked questions.
This is not a comprehensive training manual – it sets out the basic principles to help you understand how training works, and helps you to get started on the road to success! Although later articles focus on road racing, most of the articles apply to any type of cycling.
Hopefully there is enough information to inspire you to set some ambitious New Year’s resolutions! We’re planning to follow this up with a coaching night early in January where you can find out more and ask questions – details to follow.
