Regular visitor Ian Inglis used his 49×12 fixed wheel to great effect on Christmas morning to win by more than 3 minutes from Alastair Martin, with Stan Stewart a further minute back in third.
Biggest story of the day though was the large hole that appeared during the event. It looked innocent enough on the way out, but by the time riders were coming back the police had closed the road to cars. Most riders avoided the diversion, although Alan Rodgers was forced to make a detour up Cunningburn Road.
Thanks as always to all the marshals and time keepers for turning up on a wet morning and making the event possible. There was a lower turnout than normal, but still plenty of craic at the finish from a growing crowd of well wishers!
