This years Tour Of Ards will take place on Saturday 12th March. The route is the same as last year, starting down the Portaferry Road before taking Mountstewart Road over to Ballywalter, and taking in two laps of a circuit Kircubbin – Portaferry – Portavogie in an anti-clockwise direction. Then the classic run up the Strangford Lough coast road to finish outside Londonderry Park. Total distance is just over 100km. This year we are accepting applications for entry on EntryCentral.com – applications are open until Sunday 21st February. The race committee will meet and finalise the start list shortly after this. Riders will be notified by email and a start list will be published on our website.
We have permission from the police for an 80 rider field.
Eligible categories – A* to A3 Jr. All riders must have a valid Cycling Ireland licence – no one day licences will be issued.
Total prize fund is £ 750 with £175 for the winner.
