On a sunny but cold spring evening, Ian Inglis (Black Rose) rolled round his 54×13 fixed wheel to record a super fast time of 21:58 in tonight’s 10 mile time trial. Glenn Kinning (Kinning Cycles) and David Fowler (Northern Dave Kane) filled the next two slots, with Richard Topping once again the fastest Ards rider. This means Richard takes an early lead in the McFarland Cup (calculated on a scratch basis on all club 10 and 25 mile time trials).

Just two riders bettered their previous personal best, with Michael Price showing the biggest improvement and taking an early lead in the 10 mile handicap cup.
Thanks as always to the timekeepers and marshals. They’ll get a a break next Tuesday because it is the first of our evening club runs. Meet at Cafe Nero’s in Newtownards at 6.45pm – this is a more sociable event, so hopefully we’ll see a big turnout of club members.
