The results of the club 10 mile time trial at Millisle on 26th July are listed in the first table below. For each Ards CC rider, their improvement relative to their personal best at 10 miles in club competition is also listed (in seconds). The rider with the biggest improvement wins on handicap and gets 10 points. The next biggest improvement gets 7 points, and so on down to one point for sixth. And these points count towards the 10 mile handicap cup. The current standings in the 10 mile handicap cup are shown in the second table below. With one 10 mile still to run (the rescheduled race from 17th May that will now take place on 9th August), there are still 10 riders in with a chance of winning this cup this year.
Club 10 mile time trials also count towards the McFarlane Cup. This is worked out on all club 10 and 25 mile time trials on a scratch basis. The fastest rider in each event gets 10 points, and so on down to 1 point for sixth fastest. The latest standings in this competition are shown in the third table below. It is shaping up as a two horse race between Willy Gill and Robin Millar.
