Here’s a quick round up of Ards CC news.
First, a reminder that the annual Ards CC BBQ will take place on Saturday 5th August – click here for more details. If you want to come along, let Darren Colville or any member of the committee know by next Tuesday’s road race at Orlock.
The club road race at Orlock on 18th July was won by Luke Joyce (Kinning), from Keith Philips (NDCC), Kyle Adams (Ards CC), Ricky Topping (Ards CC), Niall Brown (Ards CC) and Steven Watty (NDCC). This means that Ricky and Kyle are now joint leaders in the Road Race trophy, with two races to go and a rider’s best four events counting. Here’s the full table –

There was a big turnout of 29 riders at last night’s 10 mile time in Millisle, and 11 Ards riders set a personal best. And it was fantastic to see Ards riders taking the first 6 places in the overall results – the first time this has happened in recent years, and a great reflection in the increasing strength in depth in club racing.
