Following success in open events in recent weeks, new Ards CC recruit John Rafferty mastered the windy conditions in tonight’s 10 mile time trial to take the win. His time of 22.42 was just 3 seconds faster than Keith Phillips (North Down). This pair were nearly two minutes clear of the rest of the field. This means that John takes an early lead in the McFarlane Trophy, calculated across all club 10 and 25 mile time trials on a scratch basis.
Peter McErlane won the race on handicap, with a time that was just 26 seconds slower than his previous personal best. He takes a lead in the 10 mile handicap cup.
(npt = no previous time at this distance as an Ards CC member, and hence we can’t give you a handicap in this race. Your time tonight will be used as your personal best in future 10s)
