Young Andrew Chivers broke the mythical 4 minute barrier in the Bradshaw’s Brae hill climb this evening to take a well deserve win. His time was 1 second faster than Ricky Topping’s winning ride 2 years ago, but 4 seconds slower than Mark Kane’s ride in 2015. Second was regular Adam Skeet (Northern) on 4:02, with Nathan Keown (North Down) rounding out the top 3 on 4:08.
Willy Gill was fastest Ards rider, getting the better of Roman Sarvas and Andrew Jess, and he takes the Bradshaw’s Brae award this year.
Thanks to the pusher off and the time keepers, and to all the riders who’ve supported our events this year. That’s the final club race of the season, but don’t forget –
- The Strangford Sportive next weekend (Sunday 16th September)
- The club dinner and awards nights – planned for late October this year. Watch this space for details.
- And the Christmas 10!
