There was a great turnout at the Christmas 10 this morning, with 14 riders taking part, and many more helping out and enjoying the craic.
In the build up to the event, the good forecast had encouraged some talk that Ryan Connor’s (Ballymena RC) event record of 21:55 could be under threat. In the end, although Ian Inglis took his 5th straight win, he had to be content with (a still very fast) 23:05. There were a string of other fast times, with Alan Patterson (Ards CC) just 15 seconds slower, and Mark Allen (Ards CC) taking third with 24:39.

Mark Alen’s warming down outfit
It was great to see some old faces down, including Mike McConaghy, Jack Watson and Dave Kane. And thanks as always to the marshals, pusher off and time keeper, and to Desi for refreshments.

The sign says it all. Ian Inglis at the start.
