John Rafferty (Ards CC) made the most of the good conditions in the club 10 mile time trial in Millisle this evening to beat his personal best by 15 seconds. His time of 21:56 gave him the overall win, and also the handicap win. He now leads the McFarlane Cup (for all club 10 and 25 mile time trials on a scratch basis) and the Handicap 10 mile trophy.

In second place, just 10 seconds back, was Keith Philips (Bikehouse), with Luke Joyce (Kinning) a further 5 seconds behind. Next was Peter McClean, riding his first time trial in Ards CC colours and recording an excellent 22:43.
The only other Ards CC rider to improve his personal best was Dean Bradley, who nudged 3 seconds faster with a 26:05, and is now just 6 seconds away from the silver medal standard.
