Following advice from Cycling Ireland, Ards Cycling Club has decided to cancel the Tour of Ards on Saturday 21st March. Thanks to all those who worked hard to organise the race, to our sponsors Simon Brien Residential, Ray Brownfield Bike Repairs & Restoration and Romas for their support and understanding, and to the riders who had already entered. We understand that no money should have been taken for entries yet, but please get in touch if this is not the case.
The Tour of Ards was first run in 1970 and has only been cancelled once before, due to the foot and mouth outbreak in 2001.
We’ll be reviewing our club runs and our club race calendar over the coming days and weeks. Please check back here and on Facebook (links in the Forum menu above) for more updates.
