Over 100 riders signed up for today’s Tour of Strangford, with a choice of an 80 mile route around Strangford Lough or a 50 mile route around the Ards Peninsula. Conditions were good, although a rising north westerly wind in the afternoon made it a tough finish.

Many thanks to all the organisers, including sign-on, catering at the start, lunch stop and finish, route markers, and broom wagon. We were raising money for the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance – more details on the total raised will follow later.
