Spotted this in a local Christmas art competition… Enjoy!

Why we love the Christmas 10

“On your marks. Get set.”
The clock’s about to start,
The timekeeper says, “Go!”
And he’s off like a dart.

The clock ticks round and round,
The wheels spin and turn,
He’s working mighty hard,
He’s got mince pies to earn.

Each bump on the road,
Brings him closer to the end,
It’s nearly in sight now,
Just round this last bend.

He crosses the line,
There’s a shout and a cheer,
He loves this feeling,
The highlight of his year.

Sure the sleigh was great,
And the reindeer were good,
The kids were lovely,
And so was the food.

But on Christmas morning,
When his job was done,
Came his favourite part,
There was a race to be won.

They all tried their best,
Every reindeer in the herd,
The snowman was second,
And the elf a close third.

But Santa had done it,
Santa was the winner
And he’d be home just in time,
For his Christmas dinner.
