The current ridge of high pressure over the country is bringing us great weather, but not perfect time trialling conditions, with only a couple of riders posting personal bests at tonight’s 10 mile TT in Millisle despite the sunny, calm conditions.
Fastest was Andrew Hedley (AHC Racing) with 21:40, and Adam Jeffers (Kings Moss CC) also snuck under the 22 minute barrier with 21:58. Fastest Ards CC rider was Barry Mitchell in third place, and he takes an early lead in the McFarlane Trophy (calculated on a scratch basis over all club 10 and 25 mile time trials).
Biggest improvement on handicap was Gillian Orr, who beat her previous best in Ards CC colours to take an early lead in the 10 mile handicap cup.
We have another 10 next week, on the picturesque Salt Water Brig course. Parking is limited, so please be considerate, and allow yourself some extra time.
