Due to roadworks with traffic lights near Donaghadee the race used the Stockbridge Road and was over 5 laps. It was an overcast evening with patches of drizzle. 34 riders started the race in 2 groups – the first group with 22 riders and the scratch group of 12 riders at 3 minutes. The race came together in the 4th lap.
Thanks to all the marshals, particularly those who had to move quickly following the change of course, and the camera volunteers who assisted the timekeepers/judges Paul Robinson and Ron Martin.
