Club time trial medals are awarded based on a rider’s best performance during the year at each of the standard time trial distances of 5, 10 and 25 miles. The club has set standard times for bronze, silver, gold and Super Gold medals for different age categories, and for men and women. The standard times are shown in the table below.
Note –
1. A rider can only win one medal at each distance in a single year. For example, if a rider beats the bronze standard, and then later beats the silver standard in the same year, then he will only be awarded the silver medal.
2. Once a medal has been won, a rider can’t win the same (or a lesser) medal in a subsequent year. For example if a rider wins a silver medal in year 1, then he can’t win a bronze or silver medal in a subsequent year, even if he beats the standard. The only exception to this rule is when the rider moves up a category, e.g. from Junior to Senior, in which case the process starts again.
